John, a WJW team member since 2017, brings his passion for perfection in the details and his strong desire to bring good design to those in need to his practice of architecture.
John’s design work, which spans a diverse range of building types including single family, hospitality and manufacturing projects as well as considerable experience in affordable housing, is informed by a multidisciplinary career. His background in construction allows him to assess each design decision in light of construction processes and end results, while his former work as an instructor at Auburn University’s acclaimed Rural Studio translates to an adaptable, collaborative work style and design work that considers humanity first.

Housing and its impacts on occupant health and well being; exterior wall construction; exploring, investigating and reimagining new ways of integrating everyday materials.
Volunteering with the Hope Manor Village Garden to help create a garden in a WJW-designed residential project for veterans and with Territory NFP to bring skills in architecture and design to teens in at-risk communities; cooking; traveling; making furniture; and gardening.
I am a firm believer that excellent design should be available to everyone.
