Grand Opening of White Oaks of McHenry

A grand opening was held on August 31, 2017 for White Oaks of McHenry. The project is a 40 unit, memory care facility designed to serve older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. The building will be managed by Gardant Management Solutions. It is located adjacent to Gardant’s Heritage Woods of McHenry Assisted Living, creating a new campus.

The community includes companion and studio studio units. It is designed using evidence based design features aimed at enhancing the health and well being of the residents. Features include familiar spaces such as residentially scaled kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms for each household. The residents also have access to three secure garden spaces, game room, cafe, winter garden, and two sunrooms for year round access to daylight and nature.

In attendance at the grand opening were McHenry Mayor Wayne Jett and McHenry Chamber of Commerce President Kay Rial Bates. WJW is proud to have been a team member on this project.
