Heidi presents on Universal Design at IFF

WJW Partner Heidi Wang recently gave a brown bag lunch presentation to staff members at IFF helping them to explore concepts of Universal Access and Universal Design. IFF is a mission-driven lender, real estate consultant, and developer that seeks to help communities thrive by creating opportunities for low-income communities and people with disabilities.
Heidi’s talk focused on Universal Design as design that is accessible, beautiful, and livable. She shared how Universal Design principles provide a framework for approaching accessible design that moves beyond code compliance and instead focuses on creating an environment that adapts to a wide variety of user abilities without stigmatizing.
