Jane served as a panel Moderator for the 2017 Illinois Governor's Conference on Affordable Housing. The topic of her panel was Innovation - Health and Housing.

They discussed the strong and growing connection between personal and public health and the quality of the built environment. Jane, along side Mark Stroker and Peter Toepfer, offered practical examples of how buildings themselves can be constructed with healthier lifestyles in mind, as well as methodologies for creating healthier communities, and the relationship between affordable housing and health outcomes.
