Building Michigan Communities Conference
Building Stronger Communities Through Collaboration
Lauren recently had the opportunity to attend the Building Michigan Communities Conference in Lansing—an inspiring annual gathering that brings together architects, designers, developers, nonprofits, and community leaders from across the state. The event serves as a powerful platform for collaboration and innovation, all centered on advancing affordable housing and strengthening communities throughout Michigan.
This year’s conversations felt especially meaningful following the recent completion of Andy’s Place II in Jackson, MI. Projects like this reflect the impact of thoughtful design and strong partnerships, helping create permanent supportive housing solutions for individuals who need them most. It’s a reminder of how critical this work is—and how much can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared purpose.
From insightful sessions to engaging discussions, the conference sparked new ideas and reinforced ongoing commitments to community-driven development. We’re grateful to be part of these conversations and proud to support efforts that make a lasting difference. Thanks to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority for organizing!
