Grand Opening of The Montclare Senior Residences SLF of Lawndale

A grand opening was held on August 25, 2017 for Montclare Senior Residences SLF of Lawndale in Chicago, IL. This is a 120 unit supportive living facility for seniors. It was developed by MR Properties, LLC and will be managed by Gardant Management Solutions. Montclare Senior Residences SLF of Lawndale provides affordable assisted living to the frail elderly of the community. The building has a number of common area amenities, along with a beautiful landscaped garden area with a patio, gazebo and walking path.

This affordable housing development was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits administered through the the City of Chicago Department of Planning & Development, along with a variety of other financing sources including a HUD 232 loan. The development is located on a long-vacant lot in the Lawndale neighborhood.

In attendance at the grand opening were US Representative Danny Davis, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Alderman Michael Scott, and a number of other dignitaries. The dining room was dedicated to the late Cook County Commissioner Robert Steele, who assisted in getting the project built.

Additional information on the community can be found here.

WJW is proud to have been a team member on this project.
