Fall Harvest Celebration BBQ at Hope Manor

WJW staff recently paid a visit to Hope Manor to check in with the residents about the progress of the garden that was started earlier this year, and to celebrate its abundance with a Fall Harvest BBQ lunch!

In addition to grilling and eating about 60 hot dogs and 20 veggie burgers, we were able to harvest and package collard greens, kale, and basil for Hope Manor residents to use in their own cooking.

Residents were surveyed during the BBQ to gather their thoughts about the garden currently, how it can be improved for the following year, and what additional features they may want to see. A great time was had by all, and WJW is excited to continue our collaboration with the residents of Hope Manor!
