Heidi Wang Promoted to Partner at Worn Jerabek Wiltse Architects, P.C.
May 1, 2018
Worn Jerabek Wiltse Architects, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of Heidi Wang, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC to Partner. WJW specializes in housing and long-term healthcare settings. The firm has designed hundreds of projects in the Midwest and beyond, and Heidi has designed or managed over 40 projects in her time with WJW. Heidi’s decade of experience with WJW and her design approach can be seen in many of the firm’s most prominent projects, especially in senior living and healthcare. Her impact is noticeable in refined building exteriors, memorable interior spaces, and not least, happy repeat clients.
Of equal or greater importance, however, is the person-centered approach that she takes to design, especially design for our elders who are most impacted by the built environment. She has helped develop and nurture a program-based approach to designing for seniors within our office, and as a result is now known nationally among those at the forefront of designing for dementia.
Having spearheaded WJW’s growth into new project types and delivery models, Heidi also co-chairs the AIA Chicago Design for Aging committee and speaks regularly at national conferences, most recently the Environments for Aging Conference in Las Vegas and the Senior Living Design Symposium in Aspen.
Heidi has spent time volunteering with various organizations, including Chicago Public Schools where she mentored young girls interested in architecture; Architecture for Humanity with whom she designed a neighborhood arts center in the Cabrini Green neighborhood; Tanzania Development Support with whom she helped design and construct the Nyegina Library in Tanzania; and being a leader for multiple teams participating in the Walk to End Alzheimers.
WJW is also pleased to announce Keith Criminger, AIA, LEED AP, Elizabeth Godbold, AIA, LEED AP, and Michelle Sablack, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC have been promoted to Associates with the firm. Keith, Elizabeth, and Michelle have a combined 30 years experience with WJW, and each has contributed greatly to expanding the firm’s project portfolio and enhancing the flow of work within the office.
