WJW celebrates with Wayne Smallwood and the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition

Todd and Heidi attended the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition (AALC) annual conference on October 23.

The reception provided an opportunity for attendees to “roast” retiring long-time Executive Director Wayne Smallwood. Wayne and the AALC have for years championed the affordable assisted living industry in Springfield and in Washington, DC, and provided training and mentoring for facility owners, operators, and care providers.

Most recently, the AALC played a key role in the approval of Supportive Living Facility licenses for new dementia care communities throughout Illinois. Thank you, Wayne, for all that you’ve done for seniors in Illinois!
