Urban Sketching Outing

WJW celebrated the beautiful weather with an outdoor "Final Thursday."

Investing in team building is a core value here at WJW, and one of our traditions is to have a monthly staff get-together on the final Thursday of each month. Topics and themes vary widely, but for the summery weather, we decided to get outside! Jane, an active member of the international group Urban Sketchers, led staff on an excursion to nearby Washington Square Park to sketch our surroundings. After 40 minutes of observation and drawing, the group reconvened for a "throw down," - displaying all the sketches on the grass. Staff did a similar outing to Montgomery Ward Park last summer, so this may well become a regular summer outing for WJW!
