WJW participates in Between States for the Chicago Architecture Biennial

From September 19th, 2017 through January 7th, 2018 the Chicago Architecture Foundation will host the Between States exhibit in the CAF Atrium Gallery celebrating the Chicago Architecture Biennial and showcasing work from 50 Chicago based design teams. Worn Jerabek Wiltse Architects is proud to be a team on this project.

The Chicago Architecture Foundation challenged each design team to explore how designers and community members might collaborate with the hope of establishing growth opportunities within all of Chicago’s neighborhoods. Each firm was to locate a physical asset in one of Chicago’s 50 wards that could benefit from a redesign and create a way to transform it “between states”. In this challenge, “between states” refers to how the physical state can be transformed and how successful community based projects from other U.S. states serve as inspiring case studies for Chicagoans.
