WJW visits the Rural Studio!

In keeping with one of WJW’s core values of life-long learning, a group of WJW staff made a southern excursion earlier this year to Auburn University’s Rural Studio in Newbern, Alabama.

With one of the largest amounts of Rural Studio alumni in one firm, it was only a matter of time before WJW made a visit, and we experienced first-hand how a small yet steadfast group of architecture students, along with their respected professors, have been transforming local communities through their hard work and dedication.

An action-packed four days spent touring historic homes and parks, exploring the Rural Studio headquarters and projects, and of course sampling plenty of great regional cuisine, this visit to Alabama was a thoroughly inspiring adventure that is sure to stay with us for years to come. Take a look at the Travel section of our website for a more in-depth description and photos of our daily activities!
