WJW welcomes Maggie!
Maggie joined the WJW team in May 2017. Prior to her arrival in Chicago, Maggie was working for two years in the realm of affordable housing and community redevelopment in Los Angeles. She received her Master of Architecture degree and Certificate in Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015, where she was a nominee in the 2015 Schiff Foundation Fellowship for her thesis work, which focused on the redefinition of historic preservation and its application to community reinvestment.
In her time at the School of the Art Institute, Maggie was actively involved in the Freedom by Design Program through AIAS and worked on various projects throughout Chicago focused on providing accessible design to individuals in need. Her passion for affordable housing community-based design branched from work experience at a non-profit neighborhood design center during her undergraduate degree in Architecture at the University of Cincinnati.
Maggie enjoys hiking and camping, seeking out new music, and drawing and painting as much as possible.
