Project Architect

WJW seeks a motivated, mission-driven, and technically savvy Project Architect with 3-6 years of experience to join our team.

The selected Applicant will:
  • Participate in a collaborative design process with project teams, including principals and project managers.
  • Assist in all phases of projects of varying scales, from initial concept through construction phase responsibilities, including submittal and RFI processing and site visits.
  • Support underserved communities by helping to bring affordable housing, community redevelopment, senior living, and residential healthcare projects to life.
  • Thrive in a supportive work environment focused on education, exploration, staff development, and camaraderie.
The position requires:
  • B. Arch or M. Arch. Degree
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
  • Project Architect experience on projects ranging from $5-$25 million.
  • Extensive BIM modeling experience in ArchiCad (preferred) or Revit.
  • Ability to analyze and apply zoning ordinance and building code information to projects.
  • Familiarity with green rating programs including LEED, EGC, and NGBS.
  • Experience in developing well-coordinated drawing sets, including elevations, sections, details, and schedules through all project phases.
  • Experience with client, general contractor, and consultant relationships, communication, and coordination.
  • Licensed as an architect in Illinois or surrounding states, or AREs in process.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Starting salary range of $72,000-$88,000
