Garden Center Groundbreaking
A new permanent supportive housing development in Worth
Todd, Maggie, and Joi were in Worth, Illinois recently for the groundbreaking of Garden Center Apartments. The celebratory and heartwarming event featured remarks from Cindy Haworth and Gerry Beagles of Garden Center Services, Doren Hilmer of IHDA, Samantha Alloway of The ARC of Illinois, Village of Worth President Mary Werner, and Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison. The event was covered by Southwest Regional Publishing and The Beverly Review.
Garden Center will be a new construction, three-story building featuring sixteen permanent supportive housing apartments. Along with resident common areas and social service spaces, this housing has been created to further Garden Center Service’s mission of supporting and empowering persons with developmental disabilities.
Thank you to our partner on this project, Garden Center Services, Brush Hill Development, and Blackwood Group.
