In Progress: Mundelein Senior Apartments

Construction of Mundelein Senior Apartments is nearly complete!

Todd and Clayton recently headed to Mundelein for a site visit and captured some photos of the nearly complete building. Mundelein Senior Apartments will feature 46 units of affordable, independent senior housing. The project was awarded 9% LIHTC tax credits by IHDA and a ComEd energy efficiency grant.

One notable feature of this project is the use of modular construction by our partner Homeway Construction. In the photos below, you can see the modular units arriving at the site. After the modular units were installed, exterior masonry was added for an elegant finished look.

The outdoor patio area is still in progress and will feature a trellis with seating beneath it so that residents will be able to enjoy sunshine and fresh air on mild days. Stay tuned for updates as this project nears the finish line!
