Open House for Union Avenue Apartments

WJW is pleased to celebrate the opening of Union Avenue Apartments in Orland Park!

Todd, Jane, and Andrew recently attended the Open House for the newly constructed development from Sertoma Centre, which now provides 16 units of affordable, permanent supportive housing for residents with disabilities, allowing them to live independently while receiving personal support through Sertoma’s programs.

The project consists of 13 one-bedroom and three two-bedroom units, each with its own kitchen, bathroom and living space. Common area amenities include a library, computer room, communal living room and activity room, laundry room, community outdoor patio and on-site support services from Sertoma Centre.

The development was awarded funding from the Illinois Housing Development Authority in partnership with Sertoma Centre, the Housing Authority of Cook County, and the County Board, and recently achieved National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Bronze Certification in recognition of the building’s many key sustainable features.
