WJW welcomes Joi!
Joi joined the WJW team in the summer of 2019.
Prior to this, Joi attended the University of Michigan where she received both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master's of Architecture. While at Michigan, she was the Mentorship Program Chair of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students, working with Detroit high school students interested in architecture and a graduate student instructor for the history of architecture, leading a discussion course with undergraduate students.
Previously, she has worked with other Chicago-based firms that focus on working with not-for-profit organizations, community groups, and pro-bono services. She is interested in the way design can positively impact people’s lives.
Joi is an avid reader and big sports fan and can be seen rooting for Chicago sports teams and the Michigan Wolverines.
Welcome, Joi!
