Grand Opening of Montclare JoAnn Thompson Senior Residences of Englewood
WJW recently celebrated the grand opening of the Montclare JoAnn Thompson Senior Residences of Englewood!
Mike, Keith, and Andrew attended the event marking the official opening of the newly constructed seven-story development named after the late Alderwoman JoAnn Thompson of Englewood, which provides 102 units of high quality affordable housing for independent seniors. Building amenities include a double-height multi-purpose room, beauty salon, fitness center, computer lab, laundry room, library, and media room, along with exterior amenities such as landscaped recreation areas, walking paths, and a large patio for residents.
Also in attendance at the ribbon-cutting were Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Alderwoman Stephanie Coleman (16th Ward), who joined project developers MR Properties, LLC to celebrate the development’s opening. Financing for the development was made possible through assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Illinois Housing Development Authority, the City of Chicago, and ComEd’s Energy Efficiency Program.
Montclare JoAnn Thompson Senior Residences of Englewood is WJW’s fourth completed development in the Englewood neighborhood, and we are proud to be a team member on this important project!
