Heidi Presents at Environments for Aging Conference

Highlights from Lexington

Heidi and Michelle recently travelled to Lexington, Kentucky for the Environments for Aging annual conference. Packed full of inspiring presentations and a design expo, it was a busy few days! Heidi teamed up with Martha Strong, President of Strong Design Consultants, and Trevor Jerusal, Project Manager at Stenstrom Construction, for a panel presentation on "Rehabbing Affordable Senior Housing for Longevity." Heidi shared about WJW's work on the Embrace Living Communities rehab project in Chicago. The project, completed just a few months ago, spanned 12 buildings, 934 apartments, and 1,200 residents.

After the conference there was a bit of time for exploring historic spots in Lexington, including the oldest house in the city. It was built in 1784 - no ArchiCAD for those architects!
