Liezel Pimentel

AIA, WELL AP

Main content anchor

Liezel, who joined WJW in 2016, brings her focus on the intersections between urban design, sustainability and community development to her work for the firm.

Informed by the needs of the people that live, work, and experience the spaces she works on, Liezel designs spaces that are functional and empowering.

Expertise

Accessible design, technical detailing, and collaborating with other experts to make an integrated and thoughtful design.

Key Focus

Building spaces that enhance experiences rather than hinder them.

Research Interests

Health and wellness; access to nature and its influence on wellbeing.

Passionate About

Sharing the field of design and architecture with the younger generation through volunteer opportunities with Territory Urban Design Studio, an After School Matters program at CPS schools; Liezel also finds joy in bringing nature and good food to others through WJW’s Volunteer Committee’s initiative at the Hope Manor I veterans residence, where WJW volunteers built a garden and continue to host an annual harvest meal with residents.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my design perspective and to try to make the built environment a little bit better for everyone. Everyone deserves good design.
