Jane appointed to the Evanston Plan Commission

Jane has been appointed to serve on the Evanston Plan Commission. The Plan Commission is responsible for hearing public comment, initiating studies, and advising the City Council on matters related to land use, zoning, physical planning, and urban design. Nine voting members are appointed by the Mayor and serve up to two three-year terms. Daniel Burnham once served on Evanston’s Plan Commission, so Jane and the other members are in good company!

While at WJW, Jane has worked as a Project Manager on numerous developments such as New Star Apartments, Colonial Manor, and White Oaks of McHenry among many others. Previously, Jane was an Outreach Fellow and member of the $20,000 House team at Auburn University’s Rural Studio. She has worked with community-based groups on projects aimed at improving neighborhood livability and sustainability through involvement with Architecture for Humanity, the South Bend Downtown Design Center, and the Village Cooperative and Neighborhood Design Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

WJW extends a heartfelt congratulations to Jane on this appointment!
