Striding Together For a Stronger Community

WJW joins Impact Behavioral Health Partners for Stride into Skokie, celebrating a shared commitment to supportive housing and the communities it serves.

In September, Jane and Todd joined the community for Stride into Skokie, an event supporting Impact Behavioral Health Partners and its work to provide housing and services for individuals living with mental illness.

Our relationship with Impact extends beyond this event. Over the years, we've had the opportunity to collaborate on three projects, including the new-construction Lanam Rapp Building. Through these projects, we've worked together to create dignified, well-designed homes that support Impact's mission and the individuals they serve.

One of the most meaningful parts of working with nonprofit partners is getting to see their work beyond the projects we design together. Events like Stride into Skokie give us a chance to connect with the people behind these organizations, learn more about the communities they support, and better understand how housing fits into their broader mission.

They also offer an important reminder of why we pay attention to the details. From the way spaces function to how they feel to the people living in them, each design decision contributes to the experience of home. Seeing our partners' work in action helps us reconnect with the value of creating spaces that are not only functional, but healthy, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for the people who use them.

We're grateful for our continued relationship with Impact Behavioral Health Partners and for opportunities like Stride into Skokie to come together in support of their work. We look forward to continuing to learn from and collaborate with organizations making a difference in the communities we serve.
