Intro to Architecture Workshop Alumni Shadow Day

The office hosts a special visitor

Last summer, WJW's Volunteer Committee organized its first ever Intro to Architecture workshop for teens. It was a fantastic experience and we are excited to be launching it again this month! Recently we hosted one of our alumna, Karen, for a day of shadowing (photo above shows Karen with Kolbi and Joi). Karen visited our office to get a sense of what "a day in the life" as an architect is. The agenda included a behind-the-scenes look at how we do 3D modeling, attending an OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meeting, and observing a design review meeting with a client. We also planned Shadowing Day to coincide with an office get-together featuring an Architectural Styles & History game, organized by Mary & Joi. It was a super fun day and nice to see one of our mentees from last year!
