Broadview Senior Apartments celebrates Grand Opening

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last week to celebrate the grand opening of Broadview Senior Apartments!

This new three-story development offers 70 one and two-bedroom units of affordable housing for seniors in the village of Broadview, IL. Designed to incorporate many energy-efficient and key green features to achieve long-term sustainability and a healthy environment for all residents, the building also recently received National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Bronze Certification.

Dignitaries in attendance at the event included Doug Ross of Ross Financial Services, Jim Weglarz, Richard Koenig – Executive Director of Housing Opportunity Development Corporation, Mayor of Broadview Katrina Thompson, David Upshaw – Broadview Building Commissioner, Brandon Johnson – Cook County Commissioner, Richard Monocchio – Executive Director, Housing Authority of Cook County, Mayor of Northlake Jeffrey Sherwin, Mayor of Bellwood Andre Harvey, and General Contractor Walsh Construction. Todd, Keith, John M., and Rachel were also in attendance on behalf of WJW.
