Michelle, Maggie and Alexandra attend ribbon cutting for the Renaissance Living Room

Michelle, Maggie, and Alexandra attended a ribbon cutting ceremony last week for a new project opened by Renaissance Social Services, the Renaissance Living Room: a mental health crisis center in Austin that provides crisis respite in a safe and inviting home-like atmosphere.

The Renaissance Living Room is open for drop-in services that are confidential, free, and provided by trained recovery support specialists, with the goal of providing people experiencing a mental health crisis another option instead of the emergency room or police department.

Michelle currently serves on the Board of Directors for Renaissance, and Maggie and Alexandra are on the Associate Board of Directors, with Maggie serving as a Co-Chair of the Associate Board.
