Introducing Adam Souhrada:

After earning his Master's in Architecture at the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, Adam worked for several years as a project designer in Southern California, doing work on both residential and hospitality projects. While earning his bachelor's degree (also at UIUC), Adam had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunyga, Escola Tèchnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys reading, learning, traveling and being active in the community. You can often find him creating artwork and painting, discovering new music, and exploring new interests!

Welcome to the WJW team, Adam! We’re excited to have you join us and look forward to all that’s ahead!

Get to know a bit more about Declan Curry:

Growing up in Chicago, Declan developed a passion for designing affordable housing and making a positive impact across the city and the Midwest region. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he went on to earn his Master of Architecture at the University of Oregon with a Specialization in Housing.

A Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), Declan specializes in building science, unit design, and trauma-informed social spaces for multi-family projects. As he puts it, "knowing that I get to help design homes for people who need it is a good reason for me to get out of bed every morning."

When he’s not working, Declan loves cooking, trying new restaurants, participating in architecture tours, and playing Catan with friends.

Welcome to the WJW team, Declan! We’re so glad to have you onboard!

Welcome to the team, Shaun Rolfes:

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Shaun!

Shaun comes to WJW with a strong background in K-12 educational design across the Upper Midwest. After earning both his BS in Architecture and Master of Architecture at North Dakota State University, he developed a passion for turning high-occupancy public spaces into welcoming places for communities to gather and connect.

At WJW, Shaun applies his expertise in existing building renovations, additions, and construction administration to affordable housing developments. Driven by human-centric design and the everyday lived experience, he strives to create accessible, meaningful spaces that strengthen local communities.

When he’s away from his desk, Shaun appreciates hands-on craftsmanship like sewing, woodworking, and concrete casting. Weather permitting, catch him out jogging at Horner Park, reading at Osterman Beach, or dancing at Smartbar!

Welcome to the WJW team, Shaun! We’re excited to have you join us!
