WJW Visits Completed Assisted Living communities

WJW recently organized field trips to two of our senior housing communities so that staff could observe how our designs work in day-to-day operations.

First up was Evergreen Senior Living in Orland Park, IL, which features 76 assisted living units for seniors needing some additional support with daily living, as well as a 40-unit memory care neighborhood for seniors living with dementia.

WJW also visited Silver Birch of Hammond in Hammond, IN, which also offers assisted living and memory care. The afternoon we visited, residents just happened to be having a tea party, so we got to join in the fun and jump in the photo booth!

Mary described how visiting a site post-construction informs future work. "As an architectural designer, it was so helpful to see the buildings in operation and full of life. Experiencing how our drawings become reality and enable community brought home how impactful design can be."

Thank you to Evergreen Senior Living and Silver Birch of Hammond for opening your doors to our field trips! We are so happy to see our buildings serving the senior communities in Orland Park and Hammond!
