WJW Joins Women Build 2025

The Women of WJW (WOW) are back at it - for a second year in a row, WOW has committed to volunteering and fundraising for Women Build. We've formed a team of eight WJW employees and are thrilled to be joined by Nancy Ferrini of Larson Engineering and Chrissy Ferrantelli of Brush Hill Development.

Women Build is an opportunity for hundreds of women to come together to advance the construction of homes for Habitat for Humanity. In the months leading up to the event, the teams raise money to help fund construction of the homes. Donate here!

Each Women Builder commits to building with her team for one full day of the event. Our team will be volunteering at the build site in Chicago's Austin neighborhood.

The life-changing benefits of affordable homeownership are immense: it improves school performance, improves financial outcomes, and enhances the health and well-being of children and adults – just to name a few. But due to gendered barriers like the pay gap and its impact on credit access, and uneven childcare responsibilities that limit time and financial resources, it can be far more difficult for a woman to own a home than a similarly situated man. This is a great opportunity for women to support women!
