Hope Manor Village Joliet Groundbreaking

A new PSH development on a former hospital site
We are excited to share that construction has begun on Hope Manor Village Joliet! This is the latest project in a longstanding collaboration between WJW and VOA Illinois. Hope Manor Village Joliet will feature 48 units of permanent supportive housing for women recovering from opiod addiction. “Housing ripples forward and makes a better life for generations,” Nancy Hughes-Moyer of VOA said in her remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony. We are proud to be a part of this lasting impact and see this project come to fruition! Sharing the special day were Mayor of Joliet Terry D'Arcy, President and CEO of Silver Cross Hospital Matt Mudderer, State Senator Rachel Ventura, Brenda O’Connell of IHDA, and Dr. Glenda Macullum, Chairman of the Housing Authority of Joliet.
Because of the site's topography, it was necessary to construct a large retaining wall before starting construction on the building. We are happy to report the wall is in place and the building will be taking shape in the coming months. In the photos below, you can see Hope Manor Joliet, one of our previous projects, in the background.
Special thanks to our partners on this project - VOA Illinois and Henry Bros. Construction.
