Ribbon Cutting for BEDS Plus Summit Service Center

Todd, Michelle and Jacquie recently attended the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the BEDS Plus Linda Sokol Francis Summit Service Center, celebrating the grand opening of this new medical respite center!

Located in Summit, IL, the Summit Service Center will provide 23 beds for the medically vulnerable homeless of Southwest Suburban Cook County with a Federally Qualified Health Center Clinic, Behavioral Health Services, and Social Services open to both the program participants residing there and the community at large.

The project was funded by Cook County through a Community Development Block Grant, with funds coming from Federal HUD COVID relief funding.

Also in attendance at the event were Summit Mayor Sergio Rodriguez, Cook County Program & Grants Manager Sylvia Parham, BEDS Plus Executive Director Tina Rounds, BEDS Plus Board President Mark Rudzinski and former Board President Mark Laubacher, and President & CEO of Community Memorial Foundation Greg DiDomenico.

WJW is proud to be a team member on this important project, which will have the opportunity to transform lives for suburban Cook County’s most vulnerable residents. Congratulations to all involved!
